Poetry: “Two different worlds share common beauty Hellas and The Isle of Man!”
In an Evergreen land with scattered jewel- Isles far, but near…
Is a whole world of wonder quite unique, I hear..
It has a great number of micro-climates where villages dwell …
I have discovered, it has a fine selection of tastes and wine as well!
With tall-temple-like mountains are the wonders of this land…
That touch the heavens, as they stand…
This is where, the ‘Little -Red-Engine’ tracks ‘n’ trails as it goes..
Entering surrounding forests of maple,cypress and where pine grow!
Blowing its whistle, as it crosses those bridges cradled in rigid gullies…
Where under them, rivers rapidly roar as they flow in a hurry..
Reaching the coasts, of this beautiful country it be…
Surrounded by a shimmering turquoise-blue satin-like sea…
With waves like fine-white frilled lace, trimming the coast line…
Cooling the toasted fine-pebbled sand, under the Sun, so divine!
Hellas is the country of the Hellenes , I have come to understand…
It stand proud in its beauty, like the Isle of Man!
The Old train on the Isle of Man.
The Old train of Pilio in Greece.
There, in a far away Isle,
Chugs a ‘Little Red Engine’ across the land!
It chugs and chugs as it goes..
Through terrains where water flows..
The rivers of this Isle are unique…
They trickle under bridges..
and down gorges over plains to meet..
They reach Water Wheels that stand so high..
Pushing the water with ingenuity to places dry…
The flow of water then reaches the coast…
Where Castles like the one at St. Patrick’s stand to boast..
Their History their tale on this island I see…
A Land to Explore is the Isle of Man to me!
